JERRY BURGSTROM, 85, died Saturday May 9, 2009 at Veterans
Hospital in Louisville. He was born April 13, 1924 to Carl
M. and Annie May Harriman Burgstrom in Butte, MT. Jerry was
a carpenter contractor and owner of Shamrock Builders and a
army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife,
the former Willodean "Dean" Jenkins; son, John Carl
Burgstrom (Bess), of Marysville, IN; daughters, Peggy Ann
Frakes (Robert), of Henryville, IN and Joyce Rock (Ronnie),
of New Albany, IN six grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11
a.m. Tuesday at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Old
Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3-8 p.m. and
after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy to Hosparus of
Southern Indiana and the American Cancer Society.
Willodean "Dean" Burgstrom
WILLODEAN "DEAN" E. BURGSTROM, 84, of Charlestown passed
away Sunday March, 25, 2012 at River Crossing Assisted
Living in Charlestown. She was born November 2, 1927 in
Bowling Green, KY to Arthur and Louise Cherry Jenkins. She
was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown,
where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was
preceded in death by her husband Jerry Burgstrom, her
parents Arthur and Louise Jenkins, her brother Albert and a
sister Mae Beller. Survivors include: her son John Burgstrom
(Bess) of Marysville; daughters Peggy Frakes (Robert) of
Henryville, and Joyce Rock (Ronnie) of New Albany, sisters
Winnie Chanley, Mary Harris, and Wyonne Keck; grandchildren
Sharon, Besana, Jessica, Robbie, Jeremy, and Kim; and 11
great grandchildren. Funeral services was held on Wednesday,
March 28, 2012 at 11:00AM at the Grayson Funeral Home,
Charlestown with burial in Old Salem Cemetery. Visitation
was held on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. and after 9 A.M.
Wednesday until time of service.
