Johannes Johannesson came from Ringebu and lived at
Vikdalen farm. That farm was about a half mile from Trebekk (through the woods) so they met and got married.
Johannes went to work on the Hornseth farm and they apparently lived there for a while because Ingaborg added that
farm to her name. You will find that it was a tradition to use the farm name to differentiate people because they
used the name many times over. The farm name was really an address that became part of their name. It is much easier
to follow the family names if you think in terms of an address rather than a name, and use birthdays to identify
individuals with a same surname and first name.
